Careers Curriculum Statement

At Springfield School, we empower pupils to navigate diverse academic and vocational pathways through impartial advice and aspirational opportunities. Our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme is a progressive, Year 7–11 journey designed to broaden horizons and foster independent, global citizenship.

Aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks, our provision ensures every student benefits from:

  • Curriculum Integration - Linking classroom learning to the labour market.

  • Employer Encounters - Annual visits from professionals and apprenticeship providers.

  • Higher Education - Strong partnerships with the Universities of Portsmouth, Oxford, and Southampton.

  • Practical Experience - Year 10 work experience and 1:1 specialist guidance in Year 11.

Delivered through our PDL programme, assemblies, and workshops, we regularly review our impact via student and parent feedback. We welcome support from our community - if you can assist with talks or mock interviews, please contact Ms Burden via contact@springfield.uk.net.

As we prepare for our next policy review in February 2027, we remain guided by one core principle: The future depends on what you do today.
