Safeguarding
We have a deep-rooted ethos of care, respect and safety at every level within our school. Students of all ages are encouraged to be ‘Ready – Respectful - Safe’ at all times, and to value kindness and friendship.
Everyone is responsible for students’ safeguarding. Staff and volunteers are well-trained on safeguarding policies and procedures and adopt a proactive and vigilant approach. Our strong and positive relationships with students and their families mean that individuals can raise any concerns that they may have.
Our schools have close working relationships with safeguarding partners, including the Portsmouth Safeguarding Children Partnership and Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub. Within our Trust, colleagues can share and develop best practice through a Safeguarding Forum and Trust audit/review processes.
All staff and volunteers working within our organisation are expected to share the Trust’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and are subject to safer recruitment practices, including enhanced DBS checks.
If you are concerned about a child in Portsmouth, please contact the Portsmouth Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub who will advise you on the appropriate course of action. The NSPCC also offers guidance and support on issues affecting children via their Helpline service.
