Personal Development
Springfield’s Personal Development programme is designed to equip students with the character, resilience, and knowledge they need to thrive in modern society. We provide a comprehensive curriculum that integrates PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education) and RSHE (Relationships, Sex and Health Education), offering students a safe, age-appropriate space to explore their wellbeing, rights, and responsibilities. Alongside this, our robust Careers Education programme raises aspirations from Year 7 onwards, connecting classroom learning to future pathways through expert guidance and employer encounters.
Careers
Our vision of careers education is for every student to find the right next step and to have developed the skills and sense of responsibility needed to forge a career in an increasingly globalised, technological and evolving world. Policy and practice are guided by the principle that: The future depends on what you do today. Careers Education at Springfield has been accredited as an Area of Excellence by Challenge Partners.

Work experience
Our work experience runs every July for all Year 10 students. Work experience bridges the gap between the classroom and the world of work, helping Year 10 students build essential employability skills and make informed decisions about their post-16 pathways. The school's work experience programme runs every July for students in Year 10; students are encouraged to develop their skills of communication, time management, problem solving, teamwork and professionalism.
Alumni
Simply put, an Alumnus (plural: Alumni) is a former student of a school. Even though our students move on after Year 11, they remain part of the school's history and legacy; some even visit us again to share their career journey as a guest speaker or mentor. We are always interested to learn of the experiences of our Alumni, whether they left last year or decades ago, so please do get in touch via contact@springfield.uk.net
